COURSE:   OSCO Basic SWAT School

COST:            $450.00

DATES:        August 30 – September 10, 2010 

DESCRIPTION: This course is designed as an entry level SWAT school for officers who are entering an assignment in SWAT.  The course will develop and enhance basic skills that will be utilized with special weapons and tactics. Basic skill development will include combat pistol, tactical sub-gun, tactical shotgun, chemical agents, less-lethal, and movement techniques. These skills will be utilized with the techniques taught in dynamic entry, methodical entry and rural terrain searches. Intermediate skills will include land navigation, linear assaults, hostage rescue, waterborne operations and methods of rappelling. 

Physical fitness training will be a daily requirement of this rigorous training  .LEO PT requirements will be strictly adhered to. A physical fitness test must be passed on the first day in order for a completion certificate to be obtained.

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:Duty gear, SWAT equipment, shotgun, handgun, sub machine, compass,  BDU uniform, boots, writing  material   camo  paint,  camel-pack or canteen. 1500 ball ammo, 1500 frangible ammo, rappelling gear, swim booties, fins, mask, snorkel, personal flotation device, eye and ear protection, gas mask. (Full operational gear), soft body armor, entry vest, helmet, gloves, PT gear.
